POST-FRACTURE PREVENTION PROGRAM IN THE TAMPA BAY AREA
Bone Health Clinic
At The Center for Bone & Joint Disease, we believe good bone health is essential for living an active, independent life. That’s why we created our Bone Health Clinic and Post-Fracture Prevention Program—to help you stay strong, prevent fractures, and feel confident in your day-to-day life. Whether you’re managing osteoporosis or recovering from a fracture, we’re here to guide you with care, clarity, and compassion.
Leading our program is Yvette Bennett, MS, APRN, ONP-C , a board-certified nurse practitioner with advanced training in orthopedics. Yvette has been part of our team since 2014 and specializes in helping patients prevent future fractures. She takes the time to understand your health history and create a care plan that’s right for you.
PERSONALIZED TREATMENT PLANS FOR BETTER BONE HEALTH
Why Bone Health Matters & What We Offer
Osteoporosis is the most common bone disease, often showing no symptoms until a fracture occurs. Osteoporosis-induced “fragility fractures” can occur through everyday activities and lead to pain, loss of mobility, and long recovery times. Fortunately, through evidence-based treatment and lifestyle changes, it’s possible to protect your bones and avoid future injuries.
At our Bone Health Clinic, we offer:
- Complete Evaluations: We look at your personal and family history, order bone density (DXA) scans, and run lab tests if needed. From there, we build an individualized treatment plan tailored to you.
- Education & Prevention: We provide expert guidance on maintaining bone health through nutrition, regular exercise, safe mobility practices, fall prevention strategies, and practical lifestyle recommendations.
- Personalized Treatment Plans: Too often, individuals with osteoporosis go untreated. We’re here to change that with treatments that are safe, effective, and tailored to your specific needs.
For over 50 years, we’ve been proud to serve the Tampa Bay community, helping our patients lead healthy, active lives. Whether you’re recovering from a fracture or taking proactive steps to protect your bone health, we invite you to schedule your appointment today.
